Where Do You Purchase Your Garden Seeds?
I have a new poll in the right sidebar. Where do you get your garden seeds from? I purchase most of my seeds online, after I’ve browsed the printed catalogs. I also do a little swapping with friends, and save some of my own seeds. So I’m a combination.
I love browsing the catalogs. How many gardening catalogs have you received so far this year? I usually get between 5 and 10. I usually only order from about 2 or 3, but I look at most of them.
There’s nothing better than curling up on the couch with a cup of coffee, and a gardening catalog on a cold winters day. I love browsing and dreaming of the garden I’m going to have next summer.
The seed company that usually gets most of my money is Seeds Of Change. I love their heirloom selection, and I love that all their seeds are certified organic. Where do you usually buy your garden seeds? Online? From a catalog? Or at your local garden center?
Do you save all your own seeds or swap with friends? Don’t forget to stop by the poll on the right to share your opinion.

I have tried out different organic seed catalogues every year. This year I’ve found one which evey tells you how to save your own seed and has some really interesting varieties, called the Real Seed Collection. I’ve blogged about it at http://www.growveg.com/growblogpost.aspx?id=14 if you want the details.

I just got two seed catalogs in the mail yesterday! Haven’t had time to actually sit down and browse through them yet… I’ll have to do that this weekend.
I want to plan a new garden around the pond my hubby made me last summer, so I’ll need some neat ideas! I plan to come back often….
