What’s your favorite flower?

Okay, okay. I know. It sounds like one of those questions that you get on an email survey from one of your friends, but seriously! I’m planning on starting a flower garden this spring, and in addition to wanting to plant a large variety, I want to plant some of your favs this year. Or if you have been thinking of planting a particular type of flower, foliage, or vegetable, but are unsure how it will do, then send that my way too, via comment and we will find out together! As you can see from my picture, I absolutely love daisies! I think they are one of the most happy and whimsical looking flowers!

I like daffodils for the same reason, they just look so darn happy!!! And they’re like the announcement that, yes, spring really is here. :)

I like lots of different flowers, but I always thought it would be nice to have some large sunflowers. They always make me smile when I see them. I would tie them up so they don’t droop though. Or maybe that wouldn’t work - I don’t know, I’ve never had any.

My experiences with gardening were not good. When I was in early grade school, we lived on a farm with a big garden. My brothers would pick on me until I got grumpy, then Mom would send me out to the garden to weed. When I came in, my brothers would laugh and tease me, which of course caused me to be grumpy again, and off to the garden I would go again.

Kerri, I’ll have to wait a season to plant your daffodils! It’s best to plant bulbs before winter, or so I’ve heard. It is amazing how much you forget, and how much comes back to you after not doing something for a while!

Lovely image. Your right about how much you forget though. So much to do at this time of year. Great!
