What’s Growing In My June Garden?

I love how the garden takes off in June. It starts the month with new plants, blooms, or seeds, and by the end of the month things are really starting to happen.

Here’s my main vegetable garden. It’s actually right at the edge of a pasture, so that’s why it looks like it’s surrounded by grass (it is).

I have most of my garden planted. I’m still debating on adding a couple half rows of sweet corn, and some green beans. Everything else is in and growing.

At the beginning of this month I’m harvesting some spring greens, spinach, strawberries, onions, and rhubarb. There will be more harvesting going on by the end of the month.

My cherries are starting to turn red.

But the raspberries still have a couple weeks to go.

The apples are starting to take off.

I have quite a few blooms happening in my garden right now. My favorite is this ruffled purple and yellow iris. The last hold out from my iris blooms.

I’ll be back in a couple days to share more of my blooms for the June Garden Blogger’s Bloom Day.
