Veggie Tales and Cannibalism

by Rebecca on July 17th, 2007

family veggietales0716071801After picking some of my cherry tomatoes today, it struck me how much some of them looked like Bob the Tomato from Veggie Tales. I grew up watching Veggie Tales videos, and still have a rather large collection of videos, CD’s and plushies. Not to mention how excited I am about the new veggie movie coming out soon. I still get the theme song stuck in my head, and know all the words to “I Love My Lips” from the silly songs with Larry. So I now have this sudden fear of eating my tomato’s. It’s almost like being a cannibal! But my love for the edible vegetable out ways my love for the singing ones, so I think I’ll be okay, though I’m sure I’ll be giving more away than I’ll be keeping now!

At least you have red tomatoes! Mine would look like Bob if he took ill. ;) Veggie Tales are after my time as a kid, but I’ve watched them with our friends’ kids and think they’re great.

I have lots of videos if you ever want to borrow some! Are your tomatoes suppose to be a different color? Or are they sick too? lol

They’re supposed to be different colors, but they’re just sitting around green, not doing a whole heck of a lot. They’ll all ripen at once, of course, and then we’ll be scrambling (and freezing, and making sauce, and eating lots of raw tomatoes!).
