I have a mid June Garden Update for you, or is it almost the end of June already? Why does the summer fly by so fast, and the winter seem to drag on forever?
My peas are almost ready. Their little pods are finally filling out, I think it’s about time since I planted them way back in April.

I’m starting to harvest some onions, they’re not huge but they’re just the right size to slice up for sandwiches and salads.

What’s Growing In My Garden (Besides the Weeds)

I started some seeds and onion sets a few weeks ago, and now those plants are happily growing in my garden, along with the weeds that seem to be popping up everywhere.
The onions look great, I have red white and yellow planted, I can’t wait until I can start plucking them out of the ground.

I also planted some cabbage directly in the garden, I need to get out there and thin the plants. I think I’ll give the plants I thin out to my sister for her garden, or just replant them in another spot in the garden if …read more
