Planning Your Organic Garden

It’s that time of year when you’re ordering seeds, and planning what will be in this year’s garden. If you’re planning on gardening organically this year here is a fabulous video that can help a beginning gardener plan when, and what they will plant in their garden.

From cool weather crops you can plant during March and April, to warmer weather crops you can start indoors right now a garden takes a little planning to keep it all straight.

Planting your garden can start in early February with some seedlings you start indoors, and can continue all the way through spring and summer, and even into the fall. By planting cold weather crops in early spring (cabbage, peas), warm weather crops (tomatoes, corn, green beans) during the summer, and planting a few more cold tolerant crops in early fall. By following this plan you can garden 8 or 9 months out of the year, and make the most out of your gardening space.
