New plants make me Happy!
Usually I just grow my own Lobelia and plant it in hangers. But unlike all the people who jump ahead and plant to early, only to have frost damage, I’m the other end of the spectrum. I wait too long for fear of frost, and this year, it was my down fall. My Lobelia and Impatience turned out horrible. Most died, those that didn’t. . . well, lets just say it would make a great horror movie if plants watched TV. So, reluctantly I bought my hanging baskets pre-grown this year. I must say that I’m surprisingly happy about this. They are more colorful, and a bit less work. Not to mention I don’t have to wait so long for them to be full and vibrant. A great addition to my porch! Maybe I’ll buy my baskets every year!
