Nature Books For Children

by linette on November 15th, 2007

Stranger In The WoodsI have three children’s books I dearly love. They’re all by Carl R. Sams II, and Jean Stoick. The first one is called Stranger in the Woods: A Photographic Fantasy. The photography in this book is breathtaking. The children are intoduced to nature through the view of the animals of the forest. They’re trying to figure out who the delicious stranger in their woods is, and how the stranger got there. Check out the story to find the answer to the mystery. They also provide instructions on how to make an animal friendly edible snowman.

Carl Sams, and Jean Stoick have also written several other nature photo fantasies for children including First Snow in the Woods and Lost In The Woods. Any of these books would make excellent Christmas gifts for the nature loving child, or the nature loving child at heart.
