My Favorite Garden Tiller

This is a photo of my favorite garden tiller. I love it because it runs on people power (if I’m really lucky husband power), instead of gasoline.

We inherited this little tiller when we moved into our house ten years ago. It was like finding a little hidden treasure in the barn. I guess there is some truth to the saying that one man’s junk is another man’s treasure. Obviously the previous owners did not think it was very valuable. They left it in the barn on a pile of junk.

It’s a nice little tiller. If you put the bar side down you can use it to rip out little weeds before they take hold. The cultivator side is great to get out stubborn grass, and other deeper rooted weeds.

It’s a great upper arm workout to run it through my garden. It’s quicker than hoeing, and it doesn’t need gasoline, what more can I ask for?
