Thompson’s Water Seal Bloggy Giveaway!
We’re giving away 6 cans of Thompson’s Water Seal Clear Multi-Surface Aerosol Waterproofer®, to one lucky Mother Earth’s Garden reader, courtesy of the folks at Thompson’s Water Seal®. That’s the same Thompson’s Water Seal® that you put on your deck, but in a 12 ounce aerosol can!
The aerosol is great for:
- Spraying on terra cotta pots before you use them. It helps them last longer (unless you drop them).
- Help clay chimneys hold up against nature.
- Seal birdhouses against the elements.
- It will repel water on wood, brick and concrete.
- It’s safe for plants so you can coat window boxes to protect them from the weather.
There are many more uses in the backyard and garden.
If you’d like to win 6 cans of Thompson’s Water Seal Clear Multi-Surface Aerosol Waterproofer®, simply leave a comment on this post between now and midnight (EST) August 10th, letting us know how you’d use your cans of Thompson’s Waterproofer®.
Please don’t leave a generic, “I want that,” or “Pick me” comment, I would hate to disqualify you because you didn’t follow the rules. Good luck!
This giveaway is being held in conjunction with the Bloggy Giveaways, some of them end this weekend, so after you enter here hop over there and check out all the other wonderful giveaways.

We are currently building our own house and I have 3 projects right now I could use this for. One is to seal some concrete pads . Another to seal the grout in the marble floor. (water will stain the grout and we have not yet sealed it since we are now waiting for the grout to dry) and The front steps also need to be sealed. Thanks for having this giveaway.

those are some great ideas for using it. I would use it outside on our fence that gets sprayed by the sprinklers every day! (We live in a townhouse with an HOA that determines the watering schedule) Anyways, it looks really bad, and this would be great to repel the water! I’d even share it with my neighbors! thanks for the chance to win.

I have lots of projects that I could use this for. Sealing some new pots (that I just got on clearance!), sealing my 2 garden benches and my children painted wooden birdhouses for me several years ago and I have been afraid to display them outside, might just do that if they were sealed. As always, I enjoy your blog! Thanks.

My entire backyard could use a sealer. My furniture and planters are starting to look a little to sunbleached and warn in our 100 degree weather, especially our cement picnic table. It leaves us a chalkey white bottom when sat on.

I have used Thompson’s Water Seal before. It works great! We just bought a new house that has a large wood deck. I would use the water seal on my new deck. Some decks get dry rot and fungus on them, even though they are not very old. I would do my best to protect the wood by using the Thompson’s Water Seal. I don’t think there is anything out there that’s as good.

I actually love the Thompson’s Water Seal spray. I just used some yesterday on a wooden bench that I stripped and am painting to match the exterior decor of my home.
I would definitely have use for the 6 cans of water seal - my husband and I are going to be building a deck on our new built home and will be sealing the wood - so it would come in handy for sure.
In addition to the deck, I have many other uses that the water seal would be perfect for. I find myself doing a lot of crafty projects and would hate to have water damage the hours and hard work that was put into them =)

We just purchased new wooden outdoor furniture for our patio last week because of the condition our old furniture was in due to the rainy weather here in the Pacific Northwest. We had moved here from a dryer climate and hadn’t realized the toll the constant rains have on outdoor structures. We know now to not only mop our deck with Thompson’s but with this aerosol version we can spray the detailed areas of our chairs and benches. I had never thought about spraying my terra cotta pots, which I love, but I will now.
