March Ohio Weather

Tree branches on power lines during ice stormWe’ve had two days of rain, now ice and snow. Monday it was in the 60’s tonight (Tuesday) it’s below freezing and icy. Check out these photos of the tree limbs laying on the power lines, these limbs are normaly several feet above the power lines and not even close to touching them.

 

 

The middle photo is my favorite lilac bush that the ice seems to have split down the middle. I’m hoping it will bounce back after the ice is gone, and nothing’s snapped. It’s one of my favorite trees, and I’d hate to lose it.

The photo below shows our creek, over its bank and flooding the field. We’ve had several trees fall in the creek since the banks are soft from all the water, now they’re being weighted down by ice and falling over. Gotta love that March Ohio weather (not gonna love the clean up though).
