Making Minted Sugar
During the summer we have mint all over one of our pastures, it was planted there by a previous owner. I love mint, my favorite is chocolate mint. In the summer I have mint tea, minted peas, and anything else I can think of to do with mint.
One of my favorite things to make is minted sugar. All you need is about 6 mint leaves, and a cup of sugar, and a blender. Just add the leaves and the sugar to the blender and pulse on high until everything is well blended. Spread the sugar out on a cookie sheet and let it dry overnight. Store your minted sugar away for later. You can also add green or red food coloring to your sugar when you’re blending it.
Mint sugar makes a great herbal gift if you put it in a decorative jar, with a handmade label. It’s delicious in cookies, hot chocolate, or tea.
If you have an overabundance of mint this summer, try this simple recipe.

What a marvelous idea! I have been considering growing mint but have been hesitant due to it being so aggressive. After reading this I will jump in and put it in a container.
Thank you for the idea.

We have some mint in the land across the road from us. I love mint and never thought of actually doing anything with it! I’ll have to check into things you can do with mint sugar!
Great idea!
