January Get This Garden Started Giveaway
I’m having a little contest to start out the new year. I’m going to give away three prizes. This is my first giveaway at Mother Earth’s Garden so I’m really excited to see how it all works out.
So what am I giving away?
First prize will be a $20 gift certificate from my favorite seed company Seeds of Change.
Second prize will be a one year subscription to Birds & Blooms Magazine, another personal favorite of mine. (I reserve the right to change this to a gift certificate if someone outside the United States wins this prize)
Third prize will be a $10 Amazon.com gift certificate, so you can purchase your favorite gardening guide in time for planting season.
What are the rules?
The contest will run from now until the end of January, you can earn entries for commenting, or posting about the giveaway, details below. At the end of the month I’ll draw 3 names. I’m borrowing some of my contest rules from Jennifer at Offbeat Homes (just tweaking them a little). She ran a contest in December and I really liked her rules, so lets see if I can remember some of them.
You will earn one entry for every comment you leave here at Mother Earth’s Garden during the month of January, this can be on any January post. The comment must lend to the conversation, cannot be spammy and it is my final say on whether the comment counts.
You will earn 10 entries for blogging about this on your blog. Since some people have more than one blog, you can only earn the 10 entries one time.
You can earn extra credit entries on certain posts throughout the month, stay tuned (or subscribe to the feed) so you don’t miss those important posts.
I’m contest happy, so I’m also having a contest at my personal blog The Kid’s Birthday Fun Review this month, where you can win an Oriental Trading, or Amazon Gift Certificate.
I think that’s it. Good luck and have fun!

How fun! Contests seem to be a great way to get more readers. I’ve never heard of the seeds of change site before, I will have to check them out. My last garden was a complete dud, and I wonder if it is because of where I ordered the plants from.

This is a great idea! I’ve been thinking about doing a contest on one of my blogs but wasn’t sure how to get things started.
My husband made me a pond for my front yard last summer and this year I want to change a lot of the flowers around it. I’ll be coming back to get ideas!

I just found your blog through Mom Gadget and I have to say - I love it! I wish I could have a beautiful garden but I guess I’m too much of a SHE to be able to follow through all the steps on the way. :-( Anyway, I’ve blogged about the giveaway: http://mayogiathome.blogspot.com/2008/01/springtime-giveaway.html
I hope I’m entitled to enter, because I live overseas. But hey, seeds don’t weight so much and easily fit into an envelope. *lol*

What a great contest. We used to have a large vegetable garden, but have moved and our garden space is now limited. Therefore we have concentrated on flowers that are colourful and will attrack birds and butterflies.
I would love to win this

We moved from Arizona to Utah last year and planted our first garden last summer. It was such a huge success we could hardly believe it. Now we’re already in the planning and dreaming stages again as we pour over seed catalogs. I haven’t heard of the Seeds of Change so regardless of whether I win or not, I will have to check it out. I wish it was planting time already! We miss our fresh fruits and veggies!

Since I just found you this morning on your last day of your contest, I will only get a chance for this one entry. But who knows? Maybe once is enough. I’d love to win one of your wonderful prizes. I did bookmark you to come back and browse. Thanks!
