I stand amazed!
Does it ever amaze you how easy it is to grow something? Those of us who spend hours planting, weeding, and watering may disagree, but bear with me for a second. Think back to grade school. Do you remember doing projects where you planted seeds in little round dirt clots, dumped some water on it, and then a week later there was this tiny little sprout. That’s all it took. In fact, all it takes for most seeds to sprout is simply to place it on a wet sponge. I have no doubt that once planted, as long as it has sunshine and water, the seed would need very little from me to grow. I say grow, of course if I want it to grow to be a hearty healthy plant it would need some tending. I suppose it is like that with most things in life. It takes very little effort to start something, it is the maintaining and sustaining that takes a bit of work! Ah, but it is usually worth it in the end!

Here is what I am CONSTANTLY amazed about. That the very same patch of soil in my garden, under the very same Southern skies, can produce peppery bok choy, pungent garlic or onion, sweet corn, or lettuce. That it’s all a matter of what DNA resides in a little seed amazes me, daily.
Hi, Rebecca. Are you going to have a regular appearance on Margaret’s blog? Is this now a group blog?

Howdy howdy! Nope, just me I believe. Not sure where Margaret went to, but I hope I don’t let anyone down following behind her! She had a wonderful blog!
