I Can’t Wait Until I’m Picking My Own Produce Again!

I only have a little of my garden planted, only those crops that can stand the cool weather for now, but I can’t wait until I’m picking my own produce again!

945777_43637914 grilling vegetables I’ve used most of the produce I froze, canned, or stored from last year and I’ve been buying most of my produce from the supermarket lately. I still have a few peppers, cherries, and peaches in the freezer, but everything else is long gone.

During the summer we can have whole meals from the garden, a pot of vegetable soup, or green beans and potatoes will go a long way toward cutting the grocery bill.

I hate paying money to buy produce that has way less flavor, freshness, and nutritional value than the fruits and vegetables I pick from my garden.

Costs less and tastes better, it’s a win, win situation to have your own garden!

I agree with you – Got your peas planted? My husband builds another raised bed or two every year. We haven’t had much luck with potatoes – and how do get rid of the moles? Serious mole issues here.

Diana~ I planted my peas, but they’re not up yet which is probably a good thing since we’re right in the middle of a serious cold snap right now (you’re probably getting the same).

Peas don’t mind cold snaps too much. They’ll still come up. Yes, we’re having some cold weather. Track meet was canceled yesterday because of it. They hardly ever do that.
