Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!
I love St. Patrick’s Day! Probably one of my favorite holidays! Gives me an excuse to wear my favorite color! Plus I have always loved shamrocks for some reason. I think it’s because I’m into Celtic lore, and hope to visit Ireland some day. Maybe it just reminds me of that. I wonder if it will find a place in my garden this year?
Here is a poem I found this morning:
The Shamrock
There’s a dear little plant that grows on our Isle
‘Twas Saint Patrick himself sure that set it,
And the sun on his labor with pleasure did smile,
And a tear from his eyes oft-times wet it.
It grows through the bog, through the brake, through the mireland,
And they call it the dear little Shamrock of Ireland.-Unknown

I love St. Pat’s Day, too. St. Pat was an awesome guy! Maybe we’ll meet in the Emerald Isle some day. It could happen!
