Growing A Garden May Become a Necessity Not Just A Hobby For Many
With the economy not looking any better for 2009, and the job losses increasing, growing a garden may become an important source of food for many. For the last several decades gardening has been more of a hobby than a way of life for most. But that is changing for many families in the current economy.
In 2009 many will be raising a garden because they have to, not just because they enjoy the fresh picked, vine ripe flavor.
Here at Mother Earth’s Garden, I’m going to devote the next few weeks to giving you the information you need to help you plan your 2009 garden. Even if you’ve never gardened before. So I hope garden veterans will bear with me while I get back to basics and share some good old fashioned gardening advice.
If any of you gardening regulars would like to chime in, I’d love your input too. Don’t be afraid to sound off if you’d like to share your gardening knowledge with Mother Earth’s Garden readers.
Stay tuned for back to the basics gardening, coming soon to a gardening blog near you.
