Gloves in a Bottle

by Rebecca on October 30th, 2007

glovesDo you remember a few weeks ago when I wrote about Skin MD? Well, they sent me another lotion to review, Gloves in a Bottle. I feel it would be redundant to review this one as in depth, because my findings have been pretty darn close to the same. However I will try to be objective and point out a few things.

  1. The claim is the same. Helps restore natural moisture while keeping all the bad stuff out. It does this, very well. At first I found that the effect was rather short lived. After an hour my hands would feel dry again. However, after three days, this stopped happening and I didn’t need to apply quite so often. Perhaps I have been spoiled though, so I will say that it does a much better job and lasts longer than lotions you buy at your local drugstore, even in those first three days.
  2. Texture wise, its pretty standard as far as lotions go. Not quite as natural a feeling as I would personally like in my lotion. It’s main ingredient is glycerin so this is to be expected.
  3. The price is much better, only $13 for a bottle, which is only a couple of dollars more than your normal lotions. And you get quite a lot more for that price. Not to mention that a little goes a long way with Gloves in a Bottle as well. So a bottle lasts longer for a better price.

So my “professional” (insert laugh here) opinion? Much better than store bought lotions, and great for either an every day lotion or to help repair bad dry skin. It takes slightly longer than Skin MD to work its magic on severely dry skin, but still does a fantastic job. On their site, they also mention this is a great lotion to help relieve and treat Eczema. If you would like to buy a bottle, or a gallon, of Gloves in a Bottle, or just want more info, be sure to check out their site.

1 opinion for Gloves in a Bottle

I’m an artist and I love Gloves in a Bottle. It’s great stuff! I’m not the tidiest of painters so I find myself washing my hands all the time. Despite the paint, oil and thinners I get all over them, Gloves in a Bottle makes it easier to keep my hands clean plus seems to save them from drying up and cracking. It is also fantastic at shielding my hands from any chemicals and dirt so I also use it whenever I’m cleaning the house (not so often!), gardening or doing any DIY and find. Great stuff - I get it from the UK Gloves in a Bottle website - very good service too.
