Gifts From the Garden~ Make a Pressed Flower Picture
I love to press and dry flowers during the summer, then I have them in the fall and winter to make presents and projects. I even have my own flower press.
I usually use my dried and pressed flowers to make a few pressed flower pictures, and some dried floral arrangements. They make wonderful gifts.
I bought the frame for the picture here, but sometimes I make them from old barn siding and boards.
I make my own card paper for the backgrounds, and add a little texture with small seeds and pieces of plants that didn’t survive the drying or pressing process.
Have you made any gifts this year from your garden?

Lona~ Putting them under the glass helps, but also keep them out of direct sunlight. The one in the photo is several years old, and it’s held up fairly well. I normally keep it on the living room wall, but just took it outside to get a better photo in the sunlight.
Once they’re pressed and dry many flower varieties hold up well.
