Mother Earth’s Garden

Garden Lovers are Tree Huggers

by linette on February 10th, 2008

One of my favorite blogs here at the Lifestyles channel is Tree Hugging Family. If you haven’t checked it out you should. Jennifer’s been bringing great information to Tree Hugging Family for a while now, but Peggy’s just come on board to co-blog. They’ve had some great garden related posts in the last week. Check them out for some weekend reading.

Coffee Plant: Grow Some Beans tells you how you can grow your own coffee plant.

Make Your Own Solar Light- These would be great for a garden path, or outdoor living area.

If your still looking for a Valentine’s day gift for that special someone Tree Hugging Family has some great sources for organic Valentine’s Day flowers.

My absolute favorite is the recipe to make your own Homemade Sugar Body Scrub, how great is that? I think it will be great to pamper myself with after working in the garden.

Have a great weekend!

Thanks Linette. I’m still wondering, would my cat try to eat the coffee plant? : )

Thanks for these links. I am going to try making the solar light - what a cool idea!

I used to have a coffee plant, but I put it outdoors in the spring and the leaves burned badly. I’d like to try growing another one. Every now and then, they show up in the garden centre.

Kate, I know you are supposed to put the coffee plant outdoors in summer, but I think it requires filtered light. I hope you get to try it again.

I would like to give the coffee plant a try this summer. Thanks for the filtered light tip.
