Feed The Birds!
It’s the time of year when birds start having a difficult time finding food. If you set up a bird feeder, especially in the fall or winter months, birds come to depend on your regular feeding. You’ll often notice increased traffic to your feeder after a week or two.
Birds may relocate to your property because there’s a regular food supply. If you stop feeding your little feathered friend it will cause them to have to work much harder to find food during the winter months. They may have to relocate, or they may perish if the winter is harsh enough, and food is scarce.
I posted some information a couple weeks ago about making Bird Seed Ornaments, and on decorating a Christmas Tree For The Birds.
Lehman’s Country Life has an interesting post on Decorating for The Bird, with recipes to make a seed pinecone wreath, and a bagel wreath for the birds.
My Garden is My Space has an interesting article on Feeding the Birds, and an interesting bird in his garden.
Katelyn at Stamping Mad caught a few of her favorite feathered friends in the act at the birdfeeder after the big snow the other day. Check out the cute bird feeder photos.
I leave the seed heads, and extra berries in my garden to help feed the birds in the fall and winter. The leftovers never last long, so I also have a couple bird feeders to help the local birds make it through the winter. I love watching the birds at the feeder on a cold snowy day.

We love feeding the birds around here. We have a feeder outside near every window. We also grow broom corn to keep the little critters full during the winter months.
