Fall Floral Arrangements
I love this time of year for flower arrangements and floral centerpieces. There’s usually a wide variety of flowers, and foliage available right in the garden, and fields to make beautiful festive fall flower displays.
Fall flower arrangement and centerpiece tips:
- Hook changing leaves to wire to add foliage and color to your fall arrangements. Press the leaves in a book or flower press for a few days first, and their color will last longer.
- Arrange your flowers in triangles of 3, and repeat the pattern over, and over in your arrangement.
- Use wires to support dried corn, or decorative popcorn ears with the husks partially pulled back in your arrangements.
- Spray cattails with hairspray to keep them fresh longer in your fall arrangements.
Some of my favorite flowers and foliage to add to fall flower centerpieces include, mums, small and medium sunflowers, dahlias, wheat, Queen Anne’s Lace, coleus, Black Eyed Susans, roses, gladiolas, daisies, marigolds, fall tree leaves when their changing colors, decorative grasses, and seed pods.
Here are a couple fall flower display examples to use when you’re designing your own.
Let me know how your fall floral centerpieces turn out. I’ll have more fall arrangements coming up in the next couple days.
