Do You Have Any Garden Related New Year’s Resolutions?
Most of us have set our new years resolutions to lose that extra weight, quit that bad habit, bla, bla, bla. What I’m interested in are any garden related new years resolutions you may have made.
Here are mine:
- Less weeds in the garden, about July the weeds decide to go into overdrive, and I slack off in my efforts to keep them out of the garden.
- I want to focus more on preserving the garden harvest this year. With the economy still uncertain I would like to save money by growing and preserving more of my own food this year. I always grow plenty, I’m just not good at putting effort into canning, and freezing when everything is ripe.
- I would also like to work on improving my soil with compost and organic matter this spring. It always seems like there’s not as much time to devote to composting as I’d like.

Well, since I’m in an apartment, no. However, I haven’t had house plants in years. I gave it up with my cat kept breaking pots.
I think I might try to plant some cat grass inside this year. I’ve been looking for seeds. Isn’t it just wheat grass? I never seem to be able to find it in the hardware store.
