Cool Gardening Tool: Diggit

Diggit photo from Diggitinc.comYou said you’d like to see more gardening gadgets and tools here at Mother Earth’s Garden, so let me introduce you to the Diggit. It’s a handy tool to keep in your pocket when you’re working in the garden.

The Diggit is truly a multi-purpose gardening tool. It’s great for digging up weeds by their roots (even dandelions with their long tap roots). You can also use the Diggit to plant bulbs and small seedlings. It’s a measuring tool, the Diggit is twelve inches long, and it has one inch apart on the sides for measuring depth.

I hate lugging around several tools when I can take one tool that will fit in my pocket. This tool ranks up there with the Leatherman Hybrid for being a great multi-purpose garden tool.

What a lovely blog! Glad I found it.

The indispensable garden tool for me is my Hori Hori knife. It is also a pro at digging out those tap-rooted plants, plus one side is a knife edge and the other is serrated. Neither side is so sharp that it would cut you, but they are sharp enough to cut through roots, etc.
