Blogging Curse
I’ve noticed something very peculiar when blogging about my garden. If I blog specifically about one of my plants, they either die or become seriously ill within the next week. I blogged about my hanging baskets full of Lobelia, and they all got a freak infestation of earwigs. My weeping fig tree shriveled up and died shortly after doing a post on repotting, and my Aloe plant lost a few limbs after posting about basic aloe plant care. Not mention that the little Red Bud I spoke of has dropped all it’s leaves, due to some unexplained added stress. The most recent phenomenon is my African Violet plant. It has since lost most of it’s flowers and is currently on the mend. While they don’t always die, it is apparent that there seems to be some strange link between the health of my house plants and blogging! I’m at a complete loss to explain it!

I’m so sorry to hear about this curse. That really is quite a strange coincidence. Maybe the plants feel depleted, like their being used and don’t want to be? Hmmm, I do hope you find a way to reverse the curse. I’m pleased to have discovered your blog and excited to learn more.
Ah! You may have stumbled upon the answer to my problem! I sometimes buy plants for the sole purpose of blogging about them, or trying something new, instead of for their beauty or enjoyment. Which might also explain why some of my plants are immune to the curse, since they were either not bought for this purpose, or have never been the subject of my gardening experiments. Welcome! Glad you found my blog! I’ll have to use a different name when commenting, this could become confusing!
I have a question about carrying for shamrock.
I have one pot of shamrock where they are green, vibrant, and blooming. I have another one that is blooming like mad but the leaves are slightly brown underneath. It’s been a while since I repotted. Could this be the problem.
also, I’ve found shamrock loves coffee. Does this act as a fertilizer?
Also, I have purple shamrock that seems to be coming along nicely but doesn’t appear to be a strong as the green ones. Is this normal?
any and all input is welcome. Thanks and have a great day.
