Almost Lilacs
I get almost as excited over flower buds as I do about the actual blooms. I think it’s the anticipation. My lilac bush is almost ready to burst into bloom. I love lilacs, and I have a perfect view of the top of the tree, and the beautiful blooms from my bedroom window.
I was really concerned my lilac wouldn’t recover from the ice storm this winter, it was almost bent in half. It’s looking good, we had to trim a few branches here and there but it survived fairly well.
I guess you know I’ll be back in a day or two with more lilac photos.

Lilacs and Lily of the Valley — my two favorite scents in the whole world.
I love the scent of lilacs, but they don’t love me. I can sniff them once in a while, but if I bring them in the house I start sneezing.
Oh, I’m so jealous! It’s supposed to snow here in MN this weekend, and none of the trees look even remotely close to leafing out.
