A planned garden
Alas, This is what separates the hard core gardeners from the amateurs. To go beyond planting a few bulbs and shrubs and hoping for the best, to saying, “I’m really going to put some effort into this.” There are three things you should consider when planning your garden: What type of garden are you going to plant, where are you going to plant it, and who are you planting for? Notice I didn’t say “what” to plant. What you plant should be determined only after you consider these other points. This is sadly why some people find that every time they plant something, it dies. Yes, tulips are pretty, and make a wonderful addition to a spring garden, but they may not be the best thing for what you are hoping your garden to be. I’ll be looking into these three points over the next couple of days, with links to some great resources.
