I’ve posted bits and pieces of our Christmas tree over the last few weeks. Gayla over at Supernanny Rules shared the McCord family Christmas tree, so I thought I’d share ours.
Here’s a photo of our Christmas tree. I love white Christmas lights on everything but our family tree. It has to have the multi-colored lights. […]

What’s a gardener to do in December when the snow’s flying? I like to create a little indoor gardening experience by forcing some of my favorite bulbs.
My favorite bulbs to force are Amaryllis White Christmas, and Paperwhites. Pot them up in a flower pot with good drainage. You can also add some ivy to the […]

These little cards make great get well, Christmas, just friends, or any occasion cards. They also make great gift package decorations.

Fill them with your favorite dried flowers, or even seeds, pine needles, or dried greens. I love adding personal touches to ornaments, to give them that handmade feeling.
You can also […]

Birds may relocate to your property because […]

I love to use dried flowers from my garden in my Christmas ornaments. They don’t store well, so I usually dry new flowers and refill my little baskets each year. I use a small floral Styrofoam ball cut in half, inserted into a small basket. I cover the Styrofoam with sphagnum moss, then insert my […]

I love poinsettias. They’re one of my absolute favorite plants. I get at least one every year to display at Christmas time in memory of loved ones. Many will stay beautiful and keep their color for several months if properly cared for.
When you bring your poinsettia home cover it with a plastic or paper sleeve […]
